Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and FacetMD. They apply to anyone who uses the app and also to anyone who joins the waitlist. By using FacetMD, you agree to these rules and to our Privacy Policy.

When you create an account, use the app, or join the waitlist, you are accepting these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with something here, it is simple: do not use FacetMD.

FacetMD is a personal hub that brings several of your daily tools together in one place. The modules are:

• Meetings — record, transcribe, and summarize meetings.
• Calendar and agenda — organize your appointments.
• Email — view your messages inside the app.
• Bookmarks — save links from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and text.
• Notes — jot down whatever you want.
• Tasks — manage what you need to do.
• Feeds (RSS) — follow your reading in one place.
• Search — find your things quickly.

During the beta, sign-ups are closed. Authentication (that is, the way you prove it's you) is by email and/or WhatsApp. You are responsible for keeping your access secure and for everything that happens in your account. If you notice any unusual use, let us know at contact@facetmd.com.

Joining the waitlist only puts you in line to be notified when sign-ups open. It does not guarantee access, does not reserve a spot, does not create an account, and has no set date for availability. You can leave the list whenever you want, just write to contact@facetmd.com.

So everyone has a good experience, there are things that are off-limits. The following is prohibited:

• Using FacetMD for any illegal purpose.
• Trying to access other people's accounts or data.
• Abusing the system or deliberately overloading our infrastructure.
• Using bots or unauthorized automation to interact with the service.
• Uploading or sharing content that violates third-party rights or the law.

Everything you create in FacetMD — notes, tasks, recordings, bookmarks, and the rest — remains yours. You only give us the technical permission needed to store and process that content in order to make the service work (for example, transcribing and summarizing a meeting when you ask). We do not use your content for any other purpose.

Transcription (speech turning into text) and meeting summaries are automatic and, for that reason, may contain errors or leave out details — always double-check before relying on them. Important: you are responsible for recording meetings while respecting the consent of those taking part and applicable laws. Let people know when you are going to record.

FacetMD depends on outside providers to work — for example hosting, the transcription and summary services, and WhatsApp through Meta's official API. If one of these providers fails, goes down, or changes its rules, that can affect the service, and in those cases the responsibility is not ours.

FacetMD is a product in beta, provided "as is". This means there may be instability, features changing, and no guarantee of continuous availability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses or damages arising from using (or the unavailability of) the service. We recommend keeping copies of anything important to you.

Right now we charge nothing for FacetMD. If that changes in the future, we will let you know before any charge begins.

You can delete your account at any time on the Settings screen. Removal of your data happens within 30 days, including from the backups. On our side, we may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When a change is significant, we will let you know. The date of the latest version is always at the top of the page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any matter that needs to go to court will be handled in the courts of the district of São Paulo/SP.
